Art in Profile
How important is Art really? Personally,
I think it is the most important facet of humanities
character. The moment man began to explore the world
he/she set about remodelling it, redesigning and creating
the tools and the ability to change our environment
to better suit ourselves and make life better for us
all. Creativity is the catalyst for all change. Let
us make that change positive for ourselves, the planet
and all the wonderful life with whom we share this incredible
world.
It is time we appreciate that life is
Art. All life and everything upon which life, as we
know it, is sustained. From the Universe to the Amoeba,
from a planet to a grain of sand. Also, we must begin
to appreciate that life as we don't yet know it is Art
we have yet to discover. On this website I have placed
up some, in my view, pretty pictures. Are the pictures
Art? In my view no. They are just pretty pictures. In
my view we should reserve the word "Art" for
work of true genius. It's a great three letter word.
You are the work of true genius. Your body is a true
work of Art. Your personality is a true work of Art.
Our planet is a true work of Art. To better explain
my view of Art, I offer you the image of a tree. The
tree is a true work of Art as is every leaf upon that
tree. Each and every insect and creature that inhabit
that tree is a work of Art as is each individual lifespan
and the ecological purpose of the tree.
